The City of Maricopa is in the process of preparing a comprehensive master plan to improve the parks, recreation and open space system throughout the City. A comprehensive questionnaire has been developed for you to provide input regarding how you would like to improve your parks, recreation and leisure opportunities. The format of the survey is very simple and looks at the following issues:

  • What parks and recreation facilities would you like to see in Maricopa?
  • What activities do you or a member of your family participate in or plan to participate in?
  • What type of park do you prefer in your neighborhood?
  • How would you vote on funding measures for parks and recreation facilities?

Your answers to these questions will provide the framework and the priorities for the proposed improvements to the parks and recreation system. The City would like the Master Plan to reflect the desires and needs of the citizens of Maricopa. Therefore, your responses to these questions are very important.

"The input provided by our residents throughout this process will give the City a guide in planning for future parks and recreation facilities," stated Marty McDonald, parks, recreation and libraries director. "It will provide the foundation for how we develop open space for the next five to ten years."

Download the survey and return to City Hall, Community Services, PO Box 610, Maricopa, AZ 85239 or fax to 520/568-9120. Surveys are also available at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
