Akers Physical Therapy opened its doors in June of 2004. At that time, the red business barn, just south of the railroad tracks, was the only space available to start a business. Akers Physical Therapy treats a variety of injuries including: neck/back pain, all joint pain, post surgical rehabilitation, work injuries, hand rehabilitation and sports injuries. Lisa also specializes in women’s health, which includes pelvic pain, coccyx pain, and bladder incontinence issues. The office is a division of Petersen Injury Management Systems, which has three other offices in Mesa, East Mesa, and Scottsdale, all of which accept most insurance plans. Maricopa is a wonderful city to start and operate a business. The small town feel has been very favorable to the office and has allowed involvement in Little League, Swim Team and Stagecoach Days sponsorships along with participation in the local Health Fair (August 11, 2007). Read more… The Chamber of Commerce has been an integral part of the office from the beginning allowing networking and support from other businesses. It has been exciting watching everything grow and expand. As the office has also needed to expand, the invitation is offered to have you come by and visit the new location at: 21300 N.
