Hello!

I want to take a minute and express my sincere appreciation for your support in past events.  The PRL Department is on the verge of making some major announcements that will energize the community.  Personally, I want to thank you for your support over the past three years.  Without your support and patronage, these events would not have become signature events for the City of Maricopa.

I am proud to announce that the 4^th Annual Founders Day Presented by Wells Fargo will be held on Saturday, October 13 at Pacana Park from 2pm to 8pm.  Harrah’s Ak Chin Casino will serve as a Double Platinum sponsor this year.  Highlighting this year’s event is a major concert by national recording artist the Gin Blossoms.  Local talent Freddie Duran and his band will return for their 5^th straight major event performance and we’re welcoming a new group to the stage:  Anarbor, voted as the best new alternative rock band by KZON 101.5 FM earlier this year.  We are ramping up our chili cook off competition with a $1,000 grand prize and we’ve added a BBQ Rib, Chicken, Pork and Beef competition that will award $500 to the best overall BBQ.  Additional prizes will be awarded as well.

Attached is the vendor booth request form and we have changed the format so please read the document carefully.  We will accept booth request forms starting Wednesday, August 1.  Please submit your check with your application.  Space is limited with only 75 vendor slots available.   We are looking for more food vendors so please direct any potential food vendors to me.

Please do not wait to submit your application.  We expect to sell out towards the end of August.  This email was sent to over 200 potential vendors.  We’re excited for the event and we have some great plans for this year’s festival!  For those vendors who do not make the cut for the main event, we will have a limited number of vendor booths available for the Classic Car Show (Friday, October 12) and for the Family Fun Run (Sunday, October 14).  Sposorships are available..
